Over 250,000 children under 18 years old are at risk for commercial sex trafficking in the U.S. The average age of entry into prostitution in the United States is between the ages of 11 and 13. While a global problem, it permeates our city. On any given night in Seattle, hundreds are sold for sex.
REST was founded in 2009 to build pathways to freedom, safety and hope for victims of sex trafficking and people involved in the sex trade in Seattle and beyond. We provide these pathways through prevention efforts, intervention activities, and restoration.
